Caring for Your Resin Keepsake at Home
Resin keepsakes are built to last for years, but a little regular care keeps them looking as good as the day they arrived. Here's what actually helps.
Clean it gently
Wipe your resin clock or frame with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid paper towels or rough fabric, they can leave fine scratches on the glossy surface over time.
Keep it out of direct sunlight
Resin is UV-resistant, but long, direct exposure to harsh sunlight can still dull its shine over the years. A wall away from a south-facing window is usually the safest spot.
Watch the humidity
High moisture environments, like a bathroom or an unventilated kitchen wall, aren't ideal for long-term display. A living room, bedroom or hallway works best.
Skip harsh cleaning products
Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, glass sprays or anything abrasive. If your piece needs more than a wipe-down, a slightly damp cloth followed immediately by a dry one is enough.
Treated this way, a resin keepsake should hold its clarity and colour for years, not just for the first few months on your wall.
